Stopping to Buy the Woods on a Snowy Evening

Inspired by the poem by Robert Frost

STOPPING TO BUY THE WOODS ON A SNOWY EVENING

Whose woods these are I think I know
His stocks are doing poorly though
He'd get more business if he'd clear
these worthless trees, now draped in snow

My cranky wife must think it queer
To park with no garage out here.
Had I this land, I think I'd make
a shopping mall within the year.

Upset, her voice begins to shake:
"Just how much longer will this take?!"
But still I ponder, long and deep;
this might just be my lucky break!

Alas, I drive away and weep;
I saw the owner in his jeep.
I'd never buy from such a creep.
I'd never buy from such a creep.
